Thanks to the excellent transport links, there are also many destinations to explore in the wider area.

Herzogenaurach

You’re guaranteed to find your new favourite spot in the historic old town of Herzogenaurach. The city culture can be experienced at Theater Summer in the church yard, the open-air cinema, numerous concerts or the Christmas market. You can relax and unwind in the idyllic outdoor pool, which can be cycled to in less than ten minutes, and in the Atlantis pool with sauna area, which is also only a short ride away. The city library offers a wide variety of literature and is only fifteen minutes away by bus. And for souvenirs, drinks and snacks, the store has everything you could wish for.

Shopping at Puma, Adidas & more

Bargain hunters and shopping lovers are in for a treat at the adidas brand store, the PUMA outlet or Nike factory outlet, which are only a stone’s throw away and within walking distance. How about a visit to the city museum? Just a 5-minute drive away, you can learn all about the history of local companies such as adidas, PUMA and Schaeffler. Once you have your new sportswear, we recommend getting out and about: you can explore the surrounding recreational areas on foot or by bike. Ask at our front office about our vehicles for hire!

The metropolis of Nuremberg

Into art and culture? For art lovers, the museums and galleries of Nuremberg are only a half hour’s drive away. It is also worth visiting the city’s landmark Nuremberg Castle. Also only half an hour’s drive away is Nürnberg Messe, one of the most important trade fair locations in the world and home to trade events such as the International Toy Fair, the BIOFACH and public events such as the Consumenta.

Culture & Events

With event highlights such as the Rock in the Park music festival and the major art event Blue Night, Bavaria’s second largest city regularly attracts many visitors to Franconia. There’s also plenty of Franconian tradition at the Nuremberg Folk Festival and, of course, at the absolute highlight of the region: the Nuremberg Christmas Market, the oldest Christmas market in the world!

Enjoy the great outdoors

Fancy exploring the region? The gardens of Erlangen are well worth a visit! Both the botanical garden and palace garden (Schlossgarten) are a short 20-minute drive away and great places to explore.
